NMPP Energy welcomed two team members in July: Matt Edwards as an electrical distribution O&M specialist and Ryan Schmitt as a regulatory data & transmission analyst.
Edwards will work with Rich Eymann, electrical distribution O&M specialist, to coordinate on-site reviews of member utility systems, deliver safety and electric system training to members, implement predictive maintenance programs and coordinate mutual aid efforts. Prior to joining NMPP Energy, Edwards worked at the Niobrara Electric Association as a line foreman and a journeyman lineworker at the Village of Morrill, Neb.
Schmitt’s primary duties will include to ensure the Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska complies with energy data requirements, to ensure properly administered applicable transmission tariffs associated with delivery of resources to electric load, and complete transmission applications. He previously served as an associate registrar at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
