NMPP Energy’s Chris Dibbern was recently honored by the Colorado Association of Municipal Utilities (CAMU) by being named CAMU’s 2023 recipient of the Darrell T. Davis Sheepherder Award.
The award is given each year by CAMU to recognize individuals for their meritorious service to public power in Colorado.
Dibbern is retiring in September after 32 years at NMPP Energy, where she served as general counsel.
The award presentation cited her active role with CAMU for 24 years and her tireless work as an advocate for NMPP’s member communities in Colorado.
“CAMU could always count on Chris to not just attend a CAMU meeting (no matter how far-flung from her home base in Lincoln, Neb.), but to jump in and participate,” stated her award citation. “Chris has been a welcome and trusted voice on issues ranging from the complex (including state and federal legislative discussions) to the mundane (including CAMU’s annual budget and meeting plans), and we could always count on her to break the ice and make a motion on an agenda item when other members were feeling shy!”
